Replacement Remote Fence Unit pickup and is usually installed directly on the fence. It is connected to the monitor with a twisted pair (18awg - 26awg) from zero to 100 yards or more separation to the monitor.

The Fence Hawk Plus is guaranteed to be the most reliable electric fence monitor available. Simply because it DOES NOT FALSE ALARM for any reason including lightning, spurious voltage spikes and surges. When it Alarms your fences is down for one reason or another.
The patent-pending Fence Hawk Plus operates on 12 volt DC or 115 volt AC using the 12 volt adapter. The power requirements for each Fence Hawk Plus that it requires 12 volts DC and draws 20 milliamperes.
The high impedence fence unit will NOT take away any energy from the fence, but only monitors the voltage.
The Fence Hawk Plus provides two electrically isolated relays with normally open contacts.
These outputs have adjustable voltage triggers combined with adjustable time delays. The Fence Hawk Plus can be configured to be used with any brand fence charger, with almost any fence configuration, and using any fence voltage.
The Fence Hawk Plus has an additional isolated output which is often configured to alert one to clean the weeds and foliage from the fence, but can be used for a multitude of other purposes limited only by your imagination.

The Fence Hawk Plus can accurately measure and analyze the voltage pulses from any fence charger on the market today. We have even used it to measure the spark plug voltage of a motorcycle to fine tune the bike when racing.
The Replacement Remote Fence Unit is sealed and encapsulated for all weather conditions and uses.
It is mounted directly to the high voltage fence and is connected to the Fence Hawk Plus by a single twisted pair using 26 gauge or larger.
The Fence Hawk Plus may be located directly adjacent to the fence, or can be remotely located up to 100 plus yards away with the correct gauge of a twisted pair. One can use 26 gauge twisted pair telephone wire for short distances up to 20-25 yards. For longer distances, example: 18 gauge twisted pair will work up to couple of hundred yards.
The hard wired logic used in this device was devised for stability, longevity, and reliability over a wide set of usage parameters.
How It Works:
NORMAL OPERATION
LED 3 - ON (power)
LED 2 - OFF
LED 1 - will flash with each fence pulse (voltage level set with VR 1)
LED 4 - OFF
LOW VOLTAGE CONDITION/OPERATION
LED 3 - ON (power)
LED 2 - ON (5-90 second delay set by user VR 2)
LED 1 - OFF
LED 4 - OFF
NO VOLTAGE CONDITION/OPERATION
LED 3 - ON (power)
LED 2 - ON (5-90 second delay set by user VR 2)
LED 1 - OFF
LED 4 - ON (5-90 second delay set by user VR 3)
VR 1 adjust the voltage level trigger point for low voltage condition.
VR 2 adjusts the time delay before the low voltage trigger relay closes (terminals 5 - 6)
VR 3 adjusts the time delay before the no voltage trigger relay closes (terminals 7 - 8)
VR 4 adjusts the time delay before the no voltage level trigger point.
