The open tap crimp sleeve is ideal for making permanent electrical connections on 12½ and 14 gauge wire.
The advantage is the open side which allows for installation onto existing high-tensile wire fence. A crimping tool is normally used to compress the open tap sleeve.
Do not use for connections requiring strength. The open side allows connecting to existing electric fence wires, and jumper wires.
A large crimping tool (H87) is normally used to compress this sleeve. Use the slot marked 3-4.
